Rutger has been working at HaMIS-project for the Port of Rotterdam since the start about 7 years ago in various roles (from business analyst, full-time team member, scrum master, product owner to agile project lead).

During these years he gained lots of hands-on experience building a 24x7 information system and managing a complex and diverse environment, multiple teams and a multi-year program. How do you keep a long-running team satisfied and the delivered products of high quality and value ? How do you make the team switch from Java-backend development to full-stack frontend developers in half a year? These are some of the challenges he encountered and ‘solved’ during the last 7 years. And yes, he did also some coding.
